Turning 35

Well, my birthday pretty much came and went without a hitch. I wanted to say thanks to you all for reaching out to me on my birthday. Its at these times, it hits you how many people really do care about you. Its nice. I was in Boston for work on my birthday this year and tried to get back home on the same day. I ended up spending 3.5 hours in the Denver Airport trying to get home.

Well I finally made it back home and the entire 2:15 minute flight I dicussed cycling and technology stuff with the two guys that were sitting next to me. One guy was from Syracuse, NY and the other was and older guy that lived in Ramona. The local was about 55 years old and him and his wife were avid cyclists and was telling me about all of these trails and bike paths that hime and his wife ride around San Diego County. The other guy in was in his late 30's and was out here to go over some technology and the Navy. We chatted alot about the way that technology has changed the way people communicate and go about handling daily tasks. It was an interesting conversation as the guy from Ramona was telling me that he just bought his first imac about a week ago.

The next thing you know we were being asked to clear our tray tables and prepare for landing. It was insane. I was home for literally 72 hours and then left on Sunday to head to San Jose for the week. Adobe had their worldwide sales conference. It was a LONG week for me and I flew out on Friday back to San Diego. It was nice only having to be on a plane for only 1:15 minutes. San Jose was cold, but nothing compared to Boston. Needless to say, I am happy to be home. Thanks again everyone for being so great on my birthday.

The baby;
Now that we know it is a boy, I feel this immense pressure to perform. I guess what makes it even more stressful is the fact that Taunya feels so much more relaxed. She now says things like "its your boy" and I makes me think, "wow, this is really happening". I can handle it I know, but the whole baby thing and being a father is starting to take shape. Its exciting and I am somewhat nervous not knowing what to expect. I must admit, I am pretty excited!

Have a great rest of the week.
