Blackberry Curve..picked one of these up over the weekend

These are pretty cool. I have been using a Treo 650 with the Palm OS for 3 years now and had heard many good things regarding Blackberry's. Not to mention that the Verizon coverage at the house is not very good either. I switched to AT&T and I am still in a evaluation period with them and I have 30 days to cancel. Not sure that I will cancel as the phone is really cool, small and keeps me on top of all of my email and calendar.

I have been using PDA's or smartphones since 1998 and the technology keeps getting better and better. This is probably one of the best ones that I have used in a long time. It has a fully QWERTY keyboard and a 2.0 megapixel camera. Cool, Cool, Cool.

Anyway, its end of quarter and I gotta run.

Golfing with the funniest guys I know...Garth (AKA; 5 Three, Lemon Chiffon), Chester (AKA; Wonger, Cheddar) and Rick (AKA; Papi, Might Could)

Three weeks ago (6.3.07), the four of us finally went golfing. I had this gift certificate from 4 years ago that Taunya bought me when I was really into Golf. Honestly, I was never really sure if I would use it after Tom passed away but we did. We tee'd off at 7:04 and as usual Garth was late. Not a problem as we all loaded the carts and headed out for 4-5 hours of nothing but trash talking, beer drinking, cigars and just being all out crude to one another. As weird as this sounds, this is what makes being with all of these guys so special. If we did not insult each other then it would force us to talk about how much we hate working, how great it is to be married and what life would be like if all worked together again. We cracked our first beer at 8:45 due to Chester reminding us that he was out on a pass . Not wanting him to feel like the lone ranger I ponied up and had one too.

We were doing well until Garth hit a ball so deep into the ridge of the trap we were all crying as we laughed(see below). Good times. Kudos to him, he hit out in two and put it next to the pin. Nice recovery. As we rounded the 9th hole we had what could have of been the best breakfast sandwich of all time. It was huge for 4 bucks. The RB Inn is lined with homes on both sides of the course.

It was only a matter of time, someone was going to hit a house . I was the first customer and nailed one on the left side the 13th hole. It was then that Chester rang out with the "Clag, Clag..."theme song from the movie GREASE. I think that this part is from when they all are s inging the song."We will always, be together...We will always be together.." It made me break out and start laughing uncontrollably.

Rick also busted out a Wesley Snipes passenger 57 on me around hole number 5. "Always bet on black". See the photo to the left and see if you can find it.
Anyway. We kept playing and finished up at the 19th hole where we had one last beer, talked about how fun it was and then headed home.

It was a good time and we are again schedule to play golf in about 6 weeks. God, I wish these times could happen more often, but I guess that is what makes them so damn fun.

We missed you out there too Tom. Although it was much cheaper this time because you did not take all of our money, it was certainly a bit quiet at times. For those of you who do not know, Tom Weinert was a close friend of all of ours and passed away in September of 2007. He was the cornerstone to this group and as I mentioned, we all miss him.

New Longboard...for only 170 Bucks!

About 3 weeks ago I was walking the dogs and saw one of our neighbors having a moving sale. I saw some chairs for the bar that were nice, but what I really liked was a longboard that I saw in the back of his garage. I asked him how much and he said that he was not sure he wanted to let it go. I told him that I was interested in the chairs and that I would be back with money for them and that we could talk about the board then. Upon returning, I bought the chairs and then asked him about the board again. With summer coming up I was really looking at it being a fun one if I could snag this longboard. After some negociations he sold it to me for an unbelieveable price of $170.00. What a steal!! Its a 8'6" egg nose tri-fin. Its nice and I have since rode it about 4 times. Its pretty fun. I got a new leash, put my white fins on it (it came with black ones) and then I re-waxed the entire thing. Its pretty fun.
