Taunya and I did a 32 mile ride on Sat and then I went and swam a mile. She did good on the bike but fell twice. This was primarily due to her not being able to clip out of her pedals. Aside from that, she did well since the ride was primarily climbing. We had a good time and she still likes cycling.
Parents of Maddox, Mona and Truman here in hip, hot and happening San Diego, California. Techie's by day, parents by night, we are enjoying our newest addition to the pack. We put blog together to keep friends far and near as to what is happening in our lives. We hope that you enjoy it.

Taunya's New Bike
I have to admit, she really did well in her 1st outing. If you look at the picture you can see her in her shoes. When we arrived home from Hi-Tech Bikes, she immediately wanted to cruise around the neighborhood. So we did. I let her clip in to the petals and wala, she took off. And the rest is history.
Stay tuned for more of our bike tales as she ventures out into the world of cycling.

Its been a long time!
Hey,
It has been awhile. I am 7 weeks away from Arizona Ironman. I just got back from Ironman Camp inwhich we did the course for the race. It was great but tough. I was with Michael Lovato, Paula Newby-Fraser, and Heather Fuhr. It was awesome. I rode with Heather and had a great time. They were all really great people to be around and I would reccomend the camps with Multisports for anyone. Its a great way to see the course and a good way to get familiarized with the details of doing an Ironman.
Life has been good otherwise. I irritated my achillies tendon on my right foot during the run at camp but it should be okay in time for the race.
I have pretty much cut all of my friends off at this point trying to get ready for this race. Thank god that Taunya has been so supportive of me during this that there is no way I could do it without her. From waking up early and asking me what can she make me to eat before my long rides, runs and swims to helping make sure all of my workout gear is clean and ready to go. Not to mention preparing meals on the nights before I have my long workouts that are healthy and will give me the carbs I need to do my workouts. Thanks Bee!
